At TouchBasePro, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep deliverability rates as high as possible. Most customers never see it. This post pulls back the curtain.
What is deliverability?
Email deliverability measures how successfully your campaigns reach the subscriber's inbox without being flagged as spam or bouncing. Higher deliverability means more emails get through. Low deliverability means poor engagement and high bounce rates.
Alongside the 7 things you can do to protect your own deliverability, here is what we do on our end.
Whitelisting
We hold whitelisting agreements with major ISPs. In exchange, we commit to ensuring every mail that goes through our system is genuinely opt-in. The ISPs trust us; we make sure that trust is warranted.
Blacklist monitoring
We monitor blacklists on an ongoing basis. If one of our servers is blacklisted, we pull it from the cluster immediately so it does not affect anyone else's campaigns, then we resolve the underlying issue.
Compliance checks
Every customer goes through a rigorous compliance check before sending. Our team reviews content and contact databases to catch anything spam-like before it leaves our system.
During this process we work with customers to make sure they follow our Anti-Spam Policy and stay on the right side of best practices and applicable law. You can read more about the compliance process here.
Single-click unsubscribes
Every email sent through our platform includes a single-click unsubscribe link. Subscribers can remove themselves from a list instantly, with no extra steps. This reduces the frustration that drives spam complaints in the first place.
Abuse complaint handling
We monitor our abuse address closely and follow up on every complaint as quickly as possible. We also integrate directly with the abuse complaint systems of several large ISPs, so we hear about problems fast.
Is there a guaranteed deliverability rate?
No, and anyone who promises 100% deliverability is not being straight with you. Deliverability is complex and no platform controls every variable. What we can do, and do, is keep our sending infrastructure as clean as possible, hold our customers to opt-in standards, and act quickly when something goes wrong. That gives your campaigns the best possible chance of landing where they should.
Frequently asked questions
- What is email deliverability and why does it matter?
- Email deliverability measures how many of your emails reach the subscriber's inbox rather than bouncing or landing in spam. Low deliverability means fewer eyes on your campaigns, lower engagement, and wasted send budget.
- How does TouchBasePro handle a server that gets blacklisted?
- The affected server is removed from the sending cluster immediately so no other customers are impacted. The team then works to resolve the issue and get the server delisted.
- Can TouchBasePro guarantee 100% email deliverability?
- No, and no legitimate platform can. Too many variables sit outside any platform's control. What TouchBasePro does is enforce opt-in standards, monitor blacklists proactively, and act quickly on abuse complaints, which together keep deliverability as high as possible.
- What is the compliance check process at TouchBasePro?
- Before a campaign is sent, TouchBasePro's team reviews the content and contact database to confirm the list is opt-in and the content meets the Anti-Spam Policy. If anything looks off, the team works with the customer to fix it before sending.
