What happens with duplicate subscribers on my list?

TouchBasePro takes care of duplicate subscribers, whether they are on a single list or across multiple lists

If an email address occurs more than once in one list, when you load your list it will only load it once. So, for example, if you are loading a list of 100 subscribers, and only 99 get loaded, it means there was a duplicate that was excluded. If you loaded more subscribers to that same list, and the same email address was present again in the upload, TouchBasePro will pick that up and they would not be added again.

If an email address is on more than one of your lists, and you email to those lists, TouchBasePro will pick it up and the subscriber will only receive your email once. So, for example, if the same email address is on lists A, B, and C; and you send a campaign to all three of those lists, TouchBasePro will see this and only email them once.

The only way a subscriber should get duplicates of your email campaign, is when they have an alias on their email address. An alias is when more than one email address goes to the same inbox. For example, someone might have their own email address of john.smith@example.com, but he also might have an alias of sales@example.com that comes to his inbox as well. If both of those email addresses are on a list, TouchBasePro will recognize them as two separate email addresses, and won't be able to remove the duplicate, because it isn't really a duplicate. This is why it is worth adding the extended information to the unsubscribe link (to read more about it, click here)
