In earlier versions of Microsoft Office, when you want to forward on a campaign that has come from TouchBasePro to your clients, the unsubscribe link is no longer visible, but appears again when the email is sent. This is because Outlook uses Microsoft Word to edit emails.

If you are using Outlook 2003 and earlier, you will need to change your default email editor settings to allow you to remove the links at the bottom. If you are using Outlook 2007, Word cannot be changed from your default editor, but the functionality of the Word editor was upgraded, so clicking on Forward will bring up the entire content of the email and you will be able to remove the links.

To change the default editor in Outlook 2003, follow these steps:

  • From the main Outlook window, click on the Tools menu
  • Under the Tools menu, click on Options
  • Under the Options dialogue box, click on the Mail Format tab
  • Deselect the tick box that says Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages
  • Then click on OK, and Apply to get back to your emails
